Szklarska Poręba has a picturesque locations – the town leys between the Karkonosze – the highest mountain range of Sudety and Izerskie Mountains. The town developed as the place where glass factories were opereted in the Middle Ages. Around each factory a clearing in the woods were made and where the distance to transport the wood was to big, the factory moved further. They were called „wanderind glass factories”.
We will visit Kamieńczyk gorge – a stunning calley with vertical rocky walls and after descending several stairs we will see Kamieńczyk waterfall – the highest in polish part of Sudety: 27 meters high.
After we will take a lift go reach a peak of Szrenica (1362 meters). From there we will have beautiful views – we will se whole Karkonosze mountain range, but also Izerskie mountains, Rudawy Janowickie, and Jelenia Góra valley.
On our way back we will make a short stop to see another beautiful waterfall of Szklarska Poręba: 13-meters high Szklarka waterfall.
