The city of Kłodzko has an long an interesting history. It was a part of Czech Crown, Habsburg’s Empire, Prussia, but for a part of history the region was also an independent county. The most known place is a Kłodzko fortress – we will have a possibility to check, how the fortress worked as it was in service.
The next part of a tour will be a visit in the Skull Chapel. It’s history gets beck to VIII century, where the local priest decided to built a place to bury the bones and skulls he was founding around. The remeins belonged mostly to the soldiers fighting in several wars in previous centuries but also to the victims of plagues, mostly form XVIII century.
The chapel is fulled with about 3 000 skulls and another 21 000 is buried in a celler.
